Fees : For the Full time Course, students pay Kshs. 250 per month for tuition and transport. However the actual cost of the tuition of a student per month is about Kshs. 3000. How Does Kimlea Manage to keep going? As most of the girls' families are unable to afford the fees, Kianda Foundation subsidizes them with the help of donors. Students are also asked to come with the materials required for practical sessions: knitting yarns and garment materials. The school has a shop which sells these at subsidized rates. Currently, the Foundation has set up an endowment fund which will help to support the learning of these girls. A "foster parents program" has recently been started whereby generous persons pay the fees for one girl, enabling her to study.
