The dispensary is run by medical students from University of Nairobi together with the help of doctors who participate in the programme. The students volunteer their services and come once a month. They also obtain donations of medicines from pharmaceutical companies to treat more common ailments. A dispensary has just been built with funds from a generous donor and is to start operating within the next few months. It will cater on a permanent basis for the medical needs of the villagers around Kimlea. The villagers pay a very small fee for the services to make sure they are appreciated.
